Our Expertise

Personal Injury

We are a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL)

If you suffered a personal injury and it wasn’t your fault, KJC Solicitors can help.

An accident can take place at any time whether that be on the road, in public or at your place of work.

If this injury was not caused as a result of your own fault within the last three years, then you could be eligible to make a personal injury claim
and be compensated for your injuries and damages. Some accidents can also cause psychiatric injuries giving rise to Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, for which compensation may also be available.

Accident at Work

If you have been injured in an accident at work that wasn’t your fault in the last three years, you could have a claim for compensation.

If you have been diagnosed with a disease caused by unsafe working conditions then you have 3 years from the date of diagnosis to bring a claim.

There are various types of accidents at work such as constructions accidents, defective equipment, factory and warehouse accidents and military injuries.

You have the right to a safe working environment. Injuries at work can be prevented if employers keep on top of potential hazards, preventing their employees from harm.

Accident in a Public Place/Road/Highway

Accidents in public places usually happen because the business, property owner or public body responsible for the premises or location failed in their duty to make the area safe for the public.

This also includes accidents occurred on the public road or highway.

Organisations/the Council have a legal duty to ensure that they have reasonable measures in place to protect your safety.

Conditional Fee Agreement/No Win No Fee

We operate on a ‘No Win No Fee’ basis, subject to agreement by way of a Conditional Fee Agreement (CFA). A CFA is an agreement with a legal representative which provides for their fees and sometimes their expenses, or any part of them, to be paid only in certain circumstances generally if the case is successful.

Quite simply, this means that if your case is unsuccessful, you will not be charged a fee. Unless there was a judicial finding that were fundamentally dishonest in the claim, or failed to beat an offer of settlement put forward by your opponent to settle the claim.  Should compensation be awarded, you will receive at least 75% of the damages agreed and we will retain a maximum of 25% of the damages as per the CFA for our legal fees.
